NEWSUBSTANCE were approached by Jack Morton Worldwide to design a stand out moment within the opening ceremony for the Abu Dhabi Louvre.
Event Statistics
The opening ceremony of the Abu Dhabi Louvre was hosted by the Ruler of the UAE and President Macron of France and attended by a variety of heads of state from across the region and beyond including King Mohammad VI of Morocco and Bahrain’s King Hamad Bin Eisa Al Khalifa.The evening celebrated the completion of the museum, designed by French architect Jean Nouvel, ten years after the signing of an historic agreement between the UAE and France.

Outcome
Working with creative producer Adam Doherty we implemented our Falling Stars product into the finale section of the opening ceremony’s creative. Deployed from strategic locations within the lattice dome roof we utilised 6000 LED stars to stunning effect, adding a tangible lighting effect to compliment the shows AV content.
