FIFA WORLD CUP CLOCK
As a response to the creative design brief from Imagination for the 2022 Qatar Fifa World Cup Clock, we transformed render to reality with this public artwork.
Envisioned to drive anticipation in the lead up to the games and engage people globally, the infinity loop-inspired clock spoke to the mood of Qatar as a nation, it’s vision for the future and the Qatar 2022 World Cup Identity.
Situated on the Corniche on an elevated podium for the year leading up to the event, the countdown clock featured a central, custom-built LED hourglass sculpture that provided a live countdown to the games. Taking inspiration from the infinity symbol, the structure represented the physicality of being ‘united in time’ and expressed the limitless possibilities of a global audience.
