Sharing our experience and learning from others

By Paul Crick — November 21, 2019

Public Speaking.  Some people shudder at the thought and memories of awkward school assemblies and team building courses come flooding back, bringing on a cold sweat.

Thankfully we love sharing our experiences!  We have been fortunate enough to work on some of the most prestigious live world events and to have experienced the great highs (and thankfully infrequent lows), problem solving opportunities and joy they bring to audiences.  Throughout this we have honed our craft, learnt from our successes and importantly our mistakes.  We have also learnt a lot from our peers and partners.

Learning from others gives us a different perspective on our environment, our work and importantly in our industry it helps to stimulate our creativity.

We’re in a privileged position to have been invited to share our thoughts and experiences with others across the world.  This year our NEWSUBSTANCE and SKYMAGIC teams have been fortunate to have keynote speaking slots at the ICWF 2019 in Kolkata, India, the University of Westminster in London and Glug’s Leeds chapter, with more to come in 2020.

In sharing our experiences, we hope to stimulate creativity, help others solve problems and hopefully raise a few smiles. We also hope to learn from other speakers and panelists and come away with some new ideas and perspectives and a creative spring in our step.
